About Danielle

They say few people can say that they truly love what they do. If that’s true, then I consider myself to be super lucky.

How did I become a newborn photographer?

I lost my job the day I returned back from my maternity leave with my first baby. At the time it felt terrible, but in hindsight it was really a blessing as it led me to my dream job. Previously, I had been teaching art to students with learning disabilities and decided to give photography a try as I now had the perfect new model, my son Kieran. I had dabbled in photography in college as an art major but focused on graphic design instead. So I spent countless hours learning, practicing, attending workshops and trained with some of the best newborn photographers in the world for the next few years. I applied for an opportunity to photograph day old newborn babies at a local hospital. I worked there for over four years alongside nurses in the postpartum floor and fell in love with photographing and soothing babies. I knew I had found my passion and decided to opened a studio. (fun fact: I created my business on 4/19- my grandma’s birthday for good luck).

I’m a boy mom! I have 2 boys who are 15 and 13 - Kieran & Lain.  I really can't believe how fast time flies! Every mom that walks into my studio with their new baby, I feel like I was just in their shoes. I am so thankful for all the photos I have of them as it brings me right back to their infant years. I cherish them so much. In fact, we need an updated session soon because they have sprouted and are way taller than me now!

I love my family- we are a big blended one with 5 kids! That’s my fiancé Jimmy and his three beautiful children, Olivia, Ethan and Dylan. We have a cute story of how we met if you ever wish to hear (well at least we think it is anyway). Our family also includes a big, goofy Goldendoodle named Maui. That’s him as a puppy in our photo.
